We are Carlos and Stella Pereira and have lived in Cambridge UK since 2008. We've known each other since we were 16.

Our surname Pereira, translates to "pear tree".

Pear (Pan) Tree, is the culmination of all of the things that we are passionate about.

We love food!
Simple, sustainable, locally sourced food. It brings people together, so we often use it as an excuse to gather. The best stories are shared and made around tables.

We love creating with our hands, so have tried to dedicate all our available time and creativity to making wares. Things that make a house a home.

We try to buy only what we need, eat what grows around us and what we are lucky to grow ourselves.

"Whilst Carlos whittles wood into a manner of things. Spoons and butter knives and wonky little stools. Giving them a second life. Stella photographs and makes copper bowls, hand dipped candles and aprons with deep, deep pockets (the kind you hide cookies in!)."

We love to cook and feed our friends, the flavours on our table are heavily influenced by both our Portuguese and Mozambican (Stella) heritage, -plus a few things we've picked along this journey.

All the materials used have been sourced sustainably and locally where possible. The wood we whittle comes from trees grown and donated by our kind friends and neighbours. Occasionally, you'll find seed, fruits and wooden spoons from the same tree sat together at the table.

We also share food around our communal table in the form of  A Mesa Supperclub.
